Follow along with these steps or watch the video below

Step 1

Grab your 2 x 4s and cut two 24 x 24 panels.

Step 2

Do the same to your 1 x 4s, you should have the same dimension. You’ll be using this to make a box outside each of the panels.

Step 3

Get some scrap 2 x 4s to make the leg. It can be around 14-15 inches. Draw a curve and using your jigsaw, cut the curves.

Step 4

Put pocket holes on your 1 x 4. This will be the frame of your cornhole board.

Step 5

Using a jig, hold the 1 x 4s you have and screw them together to build the frame. Add wood glue on the edges to make it stronger.

Step 6

Now that you have the frame ready, put glue on one side and put the plywood on top.

Step 7

Keep the plywood in place by using brads or a screw depending on your preference.

Step 8

Now to make the measurements for the holes. Using your meter tape measure 9 inches down from the top and 12 inches over from the side. This is where you will now measure a 6 inch hole with your compass.

Step 9

Cut the circle with your jigsaw and do this on the other one. It doesn’t have to be perfect just try to follow the line as best as you can.

Step 10

If you plan on painting your cornhole board, sand the top. You can use a drum sander to even out the inside of the hole.

Step 11

Make the hole on the side for the leg using your drill. Measure three and a half inches down from the top of the board and right in the center of your 1 x 4.

Step 12

Mark the legs and start drilling a hole using the same drill bit you used on the frame.

Step 13

Fit the legs and be sure that it rotates when you put the bolt in.

Step 14

Measure the height of your cornhole board. It has to be 12 inches from the ground. Mark a line where the angle should be and cut the excess from the legs.

Step 15

Attach the legs. Add loctite to keep the thread in place. This will prevent it from unscrewing itself.

Step 16

Attach the handle on the center of one of the boards. Then add the safety latches on both ends of the board. Be sure to put them opposite from end to end.

Step 17

Lay out your them out and you’re ready to paint them if you like. It’s recommended to put primer first before you paint.
